Cookie: The new year has started, they're busy doing things in the workshop again. Little things, I gather. What was this cry of disgust, when she realised that two mice went into the bin? Oh, I get it. They were tiny mice, so tiny, she didn't see that they were on the page she crumpled up and threw away. Well, serves her right for teasing me with the mention of mice!

Cookie: Das neue Jahr hat angefangen und sie arbeiten wieder an Miniaturen im Arbeitszimmer. Kleine Sachen! Was war dieser Schrei der Verzweiflung, als sie realisierte, dass zwei Mäuse im Papierkorb landeten? Ach, nun verstehe ich es. Das waren winzige Mäuse, so winzig, dass sie nicht sah, dass sie auf dem Blatt Papier waren, das sie zerknüllte und weg warf. Na, geschieht ihr recht für's Erwähnen von Mäusen!

Cookie: I can't believe the fuss they made about bringing in a thrush. I am a cat, for goodness' sake!  Okay, the thrush didn't like it a lot, tough! But these humans! The fuss! I mean, they then go and make little effigies of things, is that correct? Apparently they show them somewhere called MINIATURA soon!

Cookie:Kaum zu glauben, dass die so ein Theater machen wegen einer Drossel. Ich bin nun mal eine Katze! Okay, die Drossel war nicht gerade begeistert, na und? Aber diese Leute! Das Theater! Ich meine, die machen dann selber mini Abbilder von solchem, ist das korrekt? Anscheinend werden sie die in Kürze an einer Show, die sich MINIATURA nennt, zeigen.

Into a cattery, are you serious?

Cookie:It's honestly not my fault, if the posts are coming slow and infrequent. We are cats, and as somebody apparently told my servant, cats can't write.  We all know that, we dictate, our servant writes and takes photos (not always good ones either, but oh well!) The reason for the delay in posting is this miniature fair called MINIATURA (http://www.miniatura.co.uk) they took part in and then they went away on a railway trip to Scotland for a few days http://www.pathfindertours.co.uk) They had a lovely time apparently, I wonder if they thought about us, having to bear with each other and the staff in this cattery.  Well, we are glad to be home again, I must say! I suppose, we, Muffin and I, got a bit closer to each other.  Friends?  Well maybe!

Cookie: Ehrlich gesagt ist es nicht mein Fehler, dass die Beiträge so langsam und selten gepostet werden. Wir sind Katzen, und wie jemand anscheinend meiner Chefin sagte, Katzen können nicht schreiben.  Nun, wir wissen das.  Wir diktieren und unsere Angestellten schreiben und machen Fotos (und das auch nicht immer erstklassig. Na ja!) Der Grund für die Verspätung ist erstens diese Miniaturenmesse MINIATURA, an welcher sie immer teilnehmen (http://www.miniatura.co.uk) und danach gingen sie auch noch auf eine Zugreise nach Schottland (http://www.pathfindertours.co.uk) Sie hatten anscheinend eine gute Zeit, aber ob sie je an uns gedacht haben? Wir mussten schliesslich miteinander und mit den Angestellten in diesem Tierheim auskommen. Nun, wir sind froh, wieder Zuhause zu sein, muss ich eingestehen.  Wir sind uns, durch diese Tierheimerfahrung wohl etwas näher gekommen, Muffin und ich, aber ob wir uns nun Freundinnen nennen? Na, ich weiss nicht!?!

Cookie: I heard a rustle, I looked everywhere, then it splashed and something jumped into the water.  I bet it was bigger than those toy like creatures she made!

Cookie: Ich hörte ein Rascheln, ich suchte überall, dann hörte ich ein Plumpsen ins Wasser im Teich. Das war sicher etwas Grösseres als diese Spielzeugartigen Kreaturen, die sie machte!

Is that it?

Cats: would you believe that they went away all day and all  they brought back is this?  Well as long as it entertains them!?!

Katzen:Könnt ihr es glauben, dass die den ganzen Tag weg waren und dies ist gleich schon alles, das sie mit nach Hause brachten?  Nun, wenn es sie wenigstens unterhält!?!

Who was that?

Cookie: I've sort of figured out that Muffin and I aren't the first pets in this house. There are even pictures of some around.  I wonder whether we will ever get painted too? Apparently this picture was painted by Ellie de Lacy.   Absolutely amazing!

Cookie: Ich weiss heutzutage, dass Muffin und ich offensichtlich nicht die ersten  Haustiere sind, es hat sogar Bilder von welchen.  Nimmt mich Wunder, ob wir auch einmal 
gemalt werden? Anscheinend wurde dieses Bild von Ellie de Lacy gemalt. Einfach super!

My bit of garden

Muffin: This is my favourite part of the garden, the shrubbery. I can spend quite some time in there and there's lots to explore.  It doesn't look quite as neat as this picture shows, because this is one of those miniatures my servants are going on about.  The real thing is a lot more overgrown.

Muffin: Dies ist mein bevorzugter Teil des Gartens, das Gebüsch.  Hier kann ich mich stundenlang aufhalten und alles auskundschaften. Aber es sieht nicht so sauber und geordnet aus, wie auf dem Bild, denn das Bild zeigt eine dieser Miniaturen, die mein Personal oft erwähnen. Das richtige Wäldchen ist viel mehr überwachsen.
